Wakaso Mubarak advises ‘local’ players on Black Stars camp
Experienced Ghanaian midfielder Wakaso Mubarak has offered some advice to the home-based players currently training with the Black Stars.
Ghana Head Coach Charles Akonnor has extended invitations to some top performing players in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season for upcoming AFCON 2022 qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome.
Ghana will take on Bafana Bafana on March 25 in Johannesburg before they take on Sao Tome and Principe three days later.
Mubarak Wakaso is one of few foreign based players training with the home-based players in Accra ahead of the two crucial ties.
He says he’s excited with what he’s seen about them and believes with confidence they will deliver when called upon.
“What I’m seeing here is massive, everybody is doing great. They were training hard and it motivated me as a professional player to play with the local players,” Wakaso told ghanafa.org
“They are playing in the Ghana Premier league and they are doing well in their teams that was why they were selected. They just need to be confident without any fear and from what I’ve seen, they are very confident and well-motivated,” Wakasso added.
