WATCH: Ashgold SC fans march to secretariat; accuse chairman Kwaku Frimpong of ‘killing’ club
Supporters of Ashanti Gold SC are accusing club chairman Dr. Kwaku Frimpong of killing the club.
This comes after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee demoted the club from the Ghana Premier League to compete in the Division Two League.
The demotion announced on Monday, May 16, 2022, is after the Disciplinary Committee found the club of match manipulation accusations for the encounter against Inter Allies FC last season.
Having received news of the verdict, irate fans who could not believe their ears marched to the club secretariat to confront club officials.
From a video cited, fans sing in the local Ghanaian language accusing chairman Kwaku Frimpong of leading the club into doom.
