Watch how CAF celebrated Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan
The continental football governing body, CAF, has celebrated Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan for his outstanding performance in the African Cup of Nations.
Gyan, who is the all-time top scorer for the Black Stars with 51 goals has featured in every AFCON tournament since 2006.
The former Black Stars captain has 8 goals in the tournament and is Ghana’s second-highest scorer trailing captain Andre Ayew who has 9 goals.
In a post sighted by Footballghana.com, CAF eulogized the former Sunderland marksman, describing him as a goal machine for his productivity in the AFCON.
“Whenever he strikes, he scored. Asamoah Gyan is Ghanaian star, the goal scoring machine,” CAF posted on Twitter.
In August, Gyan was among a select group of African legends who were invited by CAF to help with the AFCON draw in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
Gyan is currently Ghana’s most capped player and also the country’s all-time top scorer with 51 goals.
