WC Playoffs: Baba Iddrisu urges Ghanaians to support the Stars in 2nd leg
Black Stars midfielder, Baba Iddrisu has called on Ghanaians to continue providing an unwavering support for the Black Stars as they pursue their fourth World Cup appearance.
Despite an unimpressive display at the AFCON earlier this year, the Black Stars recieved a rousing welcome at the Baba Yara stadium last Friday when they played Nigeria in the World Cup Playoffs.
Supporters were supportive of the team throughout the game albeit a goalless draw result.
It is such support that Mallorca midfielder, Baba Iddrisu is calling for in the second leg of the game against Nigeria.
In a tweet on his official Twitter page, Iddrisu indicated that the Black Stars were fully focused on the game and are counting on the support of Ghanaians to secure qualification to Qatar.
The return leg comes off on Tuesday, with Iddrisu expected to play alongside Thomas Partey once again for the Black Stars.
The winner of Tuesday’s game automatically secures a spot at the 2022 Qatar World Cup which comes off in November this year.
