“We are delighted with Baba Rahman arrival ” – Reading FC manager
Reading FC manager Veljko Paunovic has expressed his delight with the arrival of Baba Rahman on loan from Chelsea.
The English Championship side announced the loan capturing of the left back from the European Champions few hours after extending his contract.
And speaking on Baba’s signing, Reading boss said: “It is no secret that recruiting an experienced left-back was a priority for us this summer, so I am delighted that we have managed to do this deal to bring Baba to Reading.
“He is a quick, strong, physical footballer who has a lot to offer to the club and the players around him.”
Baba was really keen to be part of our project and to test himself in this tough division and I am excited to see him playing for us,” he added.
The move to Reading is the Ghanaian’s first taste of English football away from Chelsea.
He joined Chelsea six years ago and made 23 appearances during his debut season at Stamford Bridge.
Baba Rahman spent last season on loan at Greek side PAOK.
