We defeated Bechem Utd fair and square; allegations of match fixing are untrue – Eleven Wonders PRO
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Eleven Wonders, Ali Mohammed has disclosed that allegations of match fixing after the team’s 3-2 win against Bechem United are untrue.
The team based in Techiman on Sunday afternoon came from behind to beat the Hunters 3-2 in dramatic fashion.
After that win in the Ghana Premier League, Bechem Unite has accused the match referees of taking dubious decisions to aid the home team.
Reacting to additional allegations of match fixing, Ali Mohammed says they are baseless and contains no truth.
“We didn’t play any fixed match, we won on merit. Has anyone accused Real Madrid for their comeback against Seville? When credit is due, let’s give it to the boys, instead of discrediting their effort. Its hypocritical for Coach Mingle to discredit our goals as referee aided goals. Did he complain about the goals they scored?
“I will be lying if i state that i have not heard of fixed matches in the league but i don’t have any evidence to that effect. Eleven Wonders will never play any match of convenience with any club,” Ali Mohammed said in an interview on Akoma FM.
Meanwhile, Bechem United have commenced investigations within the club to ascertain whether the allegations of match fixing golf any water.
