We need more work- Enock Kwateng on Bordeaux defence
Ghanaian defender, Enock Kwateng, has stated that Ligue 1 side, Bordeaux, should work more defensively after a poor start to the campaign.
The team has earned just two points in three games whilst conceding five goals so far.
In an interview with the French media, Kwateng explained what his team must do to improve.
“Today we need a little experience, sometimes we get pierced in midfield, or defensively. We need a bit of mischief, a bit of a break from stocks… And a bit more work on this experience. Sometimes a small fault, breaking the action, to prevent the opponent from making a quick attack… It would be good if we had that mischief. I think we have to make a lot of progress in this area […] A lack of communication too?” he quizzed.
“Sure. The coach asks us to talk a lot among ourselves. Now, in this context, at the Vélodrome, in a full stadium, it was a bit complicated to get along. But there was a lack of communication on the two goals against Marseille, we should have talked to each other more so that everyone does what they have to do.”
Kwateng has started in all three games so far this season.
