We showed our fortress is not easy to conquer – Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac
Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has said his outfit showed the Cape Coast stadium is not easy to conquer after beating South Africa to secure playoffs spot in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Captain Andre Ayew converted a penalty in the 33rd minute to ensure Ghana top Group G on his 100th appearance for the senior national team on Sunday against the Bafana Bafana.
Ghana were tied on points with South Africa but advanced on goals scored.
Speaking after the game, the 67-year-old eulogized Andre Ayew on his 100th cap for the Black Stars and insisted the team showed their fortress is not easy to conquer.
“I want to congratulate the captain for the 100th game and he is scored a goal today at his jubilee and Ghana won an important match so we showed that this fortress is not easy to conquer” he said.
