We were not exciting against Ethiopia- Black Stars coach CK Akonnor
Black Stars coach CK Akonnor has admitted that his team did not impress fans despite a 1-0 victory over Ethiopia in the World Cup qualifiers.
Mubarak Wakaso settled the tie with a strike in the 35th minute but the struggled all game to create quality chances to find the net.
Akonnor, in an interview after the game admitted this but added that getting three points was important.
“We managed to win. It was a very difficult game. We were not too exciting as we were expected to play I must admit. But we managed to win the three points which is the most important thing”, he stated.
Ghana will face South Africa on matchday two on Monday.
