“We were very determined ” – King Faisal midfielder Wadudu Yakubu on cloud nine after win over Allies
After defeating Inter Allies in matchday 20 of the Ghana Premier League, King Faisal midfielder Wadudu Yakubu says they were determined to beat the Eleven Is To One side in order to boost their chances.
The Insha Allah boys defeated the bottom club at their own backyard courtesy a first half strike from Zubairu Ibrahim.
The win has given the club a boost in their right for survival in the Ghanaian top-flight.
Wadudu who won the man of the match on the day was full of praise for his teammates following their first away win in the 2020/2021 season.
“We did what we had to do. We were very determined to win the game. So we gave our all on the pitch. I think we deserved the win. We can’t afford to drop many points again”
King Faisal will be looking to take another step towards their survival fight on Sunday when they welcome Karela United on Sunday at the Ohene Ameyaw Park.
