Winger Yaw Yeboah given a late call-up for Ghana's World Cup qualifiers.

Dribbling sensation Yaw Yeboah has been called up to the Black Stars for the World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa next month, according to Ghanasoccernet.com.

Yeboah, who has been trending internationally this week after scoring a magical goal for Wisla, will now join the Black Stars when training camp begins in Accra early next week for the two matches.

He has been a key player for Krakow-based club this season, but he was not included in coach CK Akonnor’s initial 30-man roster for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

However, with the English FA statement this week about not releasing players for internationals CK Akonnor will be filling in the gaps in the coming days.

Due to the decision by the FAs in the top five leagues the Black Stars would be without the services of up to nine players, which will be a huge setback for Ghana.

Ghana is scheduled to host Group G opponents Ethiopia on Friday, September 3 in Cape Coast, before playing South Africa on Monday, September 6, 2021 in Johannesburg respectively.
