World Cup play-offs: Emmanuel Amuneke’s inclusion to the Nigeria technical team will make a big difference against Ghana – Garba Lawal
Former Nigeria international midfielder Garba Lawal has lauded the Football Federation’s decision to include Emmanuel Amunike to the technical team of the Super Eagles ahead of Ghana World Cup play-off.
The Super Eagles will play the Black Stars of Ghana in a two-legged encounter with the winner in both legs qualifying to the biggest soccer mundial.
Ghana will play host to Nigeria on March 25, 2022 before the reverse fixture at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
Ahead of the clash, the NFF has constituted a new technical which included Emmanuel Amunike.
Acccording to Garba Lawal, Amunike’s inclusion will make a big difference when they face the Black Stars of Ghana and is confident about qualification.
“I am really impressed with NFF decision to include Amuneke as part of Eguavoen’s coaching crew,” Lawal said.
“I am optimistic that the NFF has taking a right in the right direction and we hope that they combo will make a big difference against Ghana in the World Cup playoff.
“There is no doubt that the team has the capability to overcome Ghana and I know they won’t disappoint.”
Lawal scored the match winner for the Super Eagles when they beat Ghana 1-0 at the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations in Mali.
