WPL: Ashtown ladies pip Kumasi Sports Academy to win first game of season
Comfort Baah Nuako’s goal was enough to give Ashtown ladies a 1-0 win against rivals Kumasi Sports Academy in the Women’s Premier League.
The game started with both sides in dire need of the opening goal to calm nerves.
Lethal forward Comfort Baah Nuako of Ashtown scored the only goal of the game after she pounced on a loose ball from the final third of opponent in the 76th minute of the game. The home team, Kumasi Sports Academy lift their performance but they couldn’t equalize.
Sandra Osei Nyarko of Kumasi Sports Academy was adjudged the NASCO player of the match for after dazzling the home fans with some wonderful performance.
