Wydad players receive $3000 each after defeating Hearts of Oak in CAF Champions League
The players of WAC have received $3000 each for putting on a masterful display against Hearts of Oak at home according to sources.
The club came into the second leg trailing after Hearts won 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium. But, they managed to get the job done in Morocco, winning by six goals to one.
Due to the result, they have managed to qualify for the main even for the seventh year running whilst the Phobians have failed to do so in over a decade.
According to reports, $3000 each was dangled in the faces of WAC players ahead of the second leg and they responded positively. Hence, they are entitled to that amount.
Hearts would have to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
