Wydad receives huge financial grant after thumping Hearts of Oak
Moroccan powerhouses, Wydad Casablanca, have received a huge financial grant from the Royal Football League after recording a massive win over Hearts of Oak in the CAF Champions League qualifiers.
The figure amounts to 100 million Moroccan dirham which is there to motivate the club to make huge strides in the competition proper.
In the first leg, Hearts of Oak clinched a 1-0 win at the Accra Sports Stadium. WAC bounced back in spectacular fashion in the second leg, winning by six goals to one.
Wydad have reached the group stage of the African Champions League for the seventh consecutive time whilst Hearts have failed to do so in over a decade.
