I am deeply sorry - Angela Okorie apologises to Mercy Johnson

Angela Okorie has apologised to her colleague, Mercy Johnson, following their recent online and legal dispute.

The Nollywood actress and singer shared an emotional video message after she was arrested on January 28 by the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre in Abuja over allegations linked to Mercy Johnson. She was later released from the Suleja Correctional Centre in Niger State.

In the video, Angela admitted she is not perfect and said she wanted peace.

“I am not a perfect being,” she said. “So this video is specifically for Mercy and her kids and her family.”

She explained that gossip and false reports had caused tension between them.

“Some people will come and say Mercy said this. Some will say Angela said that. It has caused issues and quarrels,” she said.

Angela apologised for anything she had said or written about Mercy online.

“I am deeply sorry. You are not a witch. You are not what people are calling you,” she stated.

She also confirmed that they had spoken privately.

“When we spoke on the phone, you apologised to me and I accepted you wholeheartedly,” she said.

Ending her message, Angela called for peace.

“Mercy, this is a new beginning. You are my friend and you are still my friend,” she added.
