I sent n*ked pictures to my boyfriend but he has stopped talking to me after I asked for money

Dear Kukua, my boyfriend has stopped talking to me after I sent him my n*ked pictures, I am afraid he will leak them.

I am 19yrs and a final year student in one of the SHS in the Central Region of Ghana. I met my boyfriend on Instagram a year ago and we finally hit it off after a second date. Everything was going well since we started dating. I never asked him for money but he was kind enough to surprise me with a gift of shoes and money on my birthday.

Due to the COVID-19 issues and the lockdown, we were not able to spend quality time together. After the lockdown was lifted, he invited me over to his house but I refused to go because I wanted to keep my social distance. In all this, we were still in constant communication and he didn’t show any sign of anger.

When the president gave the go-ahead for final year students to return to school, I asked for money from my boyfriend to add up to what my parents gave me to enable me to go back to school.

Kukua, it’s been a month now and I have not even received a single message from this boy. What do you think is going on in his mind? I have also decided not to bother him until he gets in touch with me.

The scary part is that, while in the lockdown, he asked for n*ked pictures from me which I sent them. Now I am scared he might do something bad with the pictures. What should I do please?

He hasn’t replied to my message for over a month now

KUKUA SAYS: My dear, you need to calm yourself. Worrying about what he’s going to do with the photos is robbing you of your sanity and taking away your peace.

If you’re feeling bad for sending the nude photos, let this be a lesson so you make informed choices in the future.

For your peace of mind, you should reach out to him. Find out why he is not reaching out to you anymore. If he’s reasonable, he’ll open up about it.
When the door of communication opens, make known your fears. If he doesn’t reach out, let him be.
