Vida Essel-LampteyGhanaian Journalist and Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Mr Pratt Jnr has expressed his displeasure about the recommendation and the approval of salaries for the first and second ladies of the country.
According to him, the recommendation of the salaries in the first place makes him sick in the stomach because it was in violation of the country’s laws.
“My worry is that in this country it is becoming clear that many professionals when called upon to advise do not give professional advice because one would have expected that when lawyers are given advice they would be guided by the law and if they are guided by the law they will read the constitution”.
“To actually recommend that we put first and second ladies on salaries, spouses on salaries when it is a fragrant violation on the law makes me sick in the stomach; really make me sick in the stomach,” he said.
Mr Pratt Jnr made the remarks on Pan African TV’s morning current affairs programme, Good Morning Africa monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
