The administrative body of the Iraqi Students Club has contracted with Ghanaian professional Stephen Baffour coming from Najaf, to represent the team in the next season’s competitions.
Riyadh Hadi, the media coordinator of the Student Club, said in exclusive statements to “Kooora”: “The administration succeeded in contracting with Stephen Baffour, after he scored a number of influential goals with Najaf, to be the first additions of professionals in preparation for the next season.”
And the media coordinator of the Student Club said: “The administration has attracted a number of young players, including Mortada Ali coming from the refineries, Ahmed Hodeib from the police club’s reserve, and the player Karar Nour from Al-Qasim Club.”
He pointed out: “The team started its training at Al-Burj Stadium under the supervision of coach Qahtan Hatheer, and there is a desire from the young players that the next student season will be completely different from the last season.”
And the media coordinator of the Student Club concluded: “Negotiations are underway with new professional players to include them in the team, and we hope to finalize the deals officially to announce them.”
It is noteworthy that the student team suffered last season, and was threatened with relegation until the last game of the league.
