Foreign and local players to be invited for Zimbabwe doubleheader
Ghana has finally completed the task of replacing coach CK Akonnor with the appointment of Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac.
Coach Milo as he is widely known in football circles is returning to the job he left in 2010.
The current task facing the gaffer is the call ups for the crucial doubleheader against Zimbabwe next month.
Ghana has so far won one which was against Ethiopia at the Cape Coast Stadium and lost one which was against the Bafana Bafana in Johannesburg.
According to Henry Asante Twum Communications Director of the Ghana FA former Black Stars coach CK Akonnor submitted names of players to be invited for Ghana’s doubleheader against Zimbabwe next month.
“What happens is that 3 weeks before every game the coach submits his list,”
“CK submitted his squad on Sunday and he was fired on Monday, so as we speak there is a squad in mind,” he told Citi TV.
If we are to go by previous call ups these players will be in the mix when the list is announced provided they are not injured – Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Samuel Owusu, Mohammed Kudus, Razak Abalora, Emmanuel Lomotey, Mubarak Wakaso, Ganiyu Ismael and Thomas Partey.
