The message signed by the Head Parliamentary Relations and Protocol, Sheba Nana Osei Afriyie said the Speaker will travel together with four others including his wife.
“I have been directed by the Clerk of Parliament to inform you about arrival of the Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, in Dubia to undergo a medical review”.

2022 Budget has not been rejected, disregard claims, Speaker erred
The travel is taken place a day after the Speaker led Parliament to reject the Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana for the 2022 Financial Year”.
3news.com report, the Majority stage a walk out but the budget statement was rejected after members of the Minority present overwhelmingly shouted ‘No’.
The development has created public outcry especially, the majority who have described it as a violation of the orders of the house.
That according to them, per the standing orders of the house, the Speaker of Parliament, Mr Alban Bagbin requires at least 138 members present before he can put a question.
Nothing short of that is nil and void.
