Saboba: 2020 Npp Parliamentary Candidate Donates to Muslims Communities.
The 2020 New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for Saboba Constituency, Hon Jawol Binapadam Abraham who also doubled as the Managing Director for Ghana Supply has donated food items Worth Sixty thousand Ghana Cedis to the Muslims Communities in the Constituency to celebrate this year’sEid-al Adha.
The items includes, three Hundred bags of rice, three hundred gallon of cooking oil, one thousand five hundred of ginny sardines, six hundred tasty tom among others.
Eid al-Adha is also known as the Feast of the Sacrifice.
The celebrations begun when God appeared in a dream and told prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son to prove his obedience. He obeyed the message of the dream and took his son to the top of a mountain for the sacrifice.
However, just as he was about to perform the sacrifice, the boy was replaced by a ram. So every year, moslems across the globe commemorate the day with sacrifice of either a ram or a bull depending on one’s financial capacity.
Over 15 Muslims Communities in the Saboba Constituency received the items.
Speaking to the Media during the Donation, Mr. Jawol Abraham said the donation is part of efforts to create a harmonius environment between Muslims and Christian Communities.
He urged the Communities to embrace peace as a symbol of Muslims.
He further wished them good luck in their celebration.
Receiving the items on behalf of the entire Muslims, the Chief Imam for Saboba, Alhaji Amadu express his heartfelt gratitude the MD for the kind gesture.
According to him, the Managing Director has been supportive to the Muslims Communities especially in the Saboba Constituency.
He prayed for Allah’s blessings for him and the entire constituency.
