US President-elect, Joe Biden writes to Nana Addo

The President-elect of the United State of America, Mr Joseph R Biden Jnr has officially written to the President-elect of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
A letter signed by Mr Biden and shared by the Director of the Presidency, Mr Eugene Arhin on his Facebook page, said he was looking forward to work with the Akufo-Addo led government in finding a solution to the common problems facing the globe.
He mentioned coronavirus and climate change as some the challenges currently facing the world adding they transcends boarders and requires international cooperation in dealing with them.
“It is my great honour to have been elected the next President of the United States , and I understand just how much work lies ahead of us.
“Vice President-elect Harris and I will take office at a time of great global challenges – from the coronavirus to climate change – that transcends borders and require international cooperation.
“We look forward to working with youth and your government on addressing the common problems facing our countries and our people”.
“Thank you, President Akufo-Addo. I look forward to future dialogue,” the letter reads.
Mr Biden also thanked the President, Nana Akufo-Addo for his well wishes on his elections and offer his apology for having not had the opportunity to interact in person via phone with him.
“Thank you for kind words and well wishes. I am sorry that we have not yet had the opportunity to connect by phone”.
