The visit follows on the heels of previous engagement of the member of Parliament, honorable Farouk Aliu Mahama with the Moroccan embassy on issues of mutual interest particularly on skills-based training and other opportunities from Morocco into Yendi.
The recent engagement at the Embassy in Accra, with Her Excellency, Mrs Imaane Quaadil expressed her desired to visit Yendi saying “it will be exciting and great for Morocco to collaborate with the people of Yendi in areas of skills training, information, technical education and religion and promised to visit the ancient town in October to strengthen relationship”.
The plan to visit on Saturday, 15th October is in fulfillment of the dogged commitment to the residents in Yendi as part of her visit.
The Ambassador shall with the MP pay a courtesy on the overlord of Dagbon Ndan Ya-Naa, Abukari Mahama II to hold crunch meeting with MP and other stakeholders, and visit the project site of a planned Skills Development Centre in Yendi.
According to the Member of Parliament for Yendi, it has been his priority to establish relationships for Yendi that shall bring in the necessary support systems for the people.
on the MP’s Facebook timeline he said, in the long run, the objective is to create a sister-city relationship for Yendi.
Earlier on July 5, 2022 he noted that educational cooperation, religious relations and cultural exchange is the key areas he could work together with the Moroccan embassy.
He again realized that on the aspect of educational cooperation Morocco is a one-stop country for craftsmanship enhancement, vocational and skills training drills in hands-on skills.
