Former Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Mr Inusah Fuseini has said Ghanaians have made the determination to return power to the former President and 2020 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama so as to put Ghana in safe hands.
He made the comment on Good Morning Africa on Pan African TV on Thursday, January, 19 monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
My Inusah Fuseini is of the view, Ghana at its crossroads needs among other things a government who can restore trust, stability and confidence in its space and that can only be made possible by the former President.
“As we go forward we need a government that will restore the confidence, trust, stability into this country. We need a government that could be predictable, Nana Akufo-Addo’s government have been highly unpredictable, highly unpredictable and they goes with the wild way”
“……….and so that why the people of Ghana are quite resolve that we have to go back to John Dramani Mahama and put this Ghana in safe hands”.
Debt Exchange Programme: AKufo-Addo has destroyed the trust Ghanaians have in governments – Inusah Fuseini
Mr Inusah Fuseini was contributing to discussions on government’s debt exchange programme and the brouhaha which has greeted the programme since it announcement last year December.
He said the Akufo-Addo government has succeeded in destroying the trust Ghanaians have in the governments to come with its debt exchange programme.
“……….You never went to the individual bondholders with a gun, You made offers, they accepted, a contract came into been, that is the bond. We took the bond, individual bondholders took the bond and they gave you the money. They said use the money. Some gave it to you for one year, others gave to you for two years, some gave it to you for three years, some actually gave it to you for five years. They said use the money, pay me interest on quarterly coupon rate until the five years then you pay me the last coupon and the principal, use the money, now you are telling me?,” he lamented.
“Governance is about trust. Governance is about trust. You are saying that going forward the people of this country should not trust any government that says make your money available to me. You have destroyed the trust the people have in governments,” Mr Inusah Fuseini said.
