Let’s Show Compassion- Musician on outrage over accident involving Salifu Amoako’s son
In the wake of the tragic accident involving Elrod Salifu Amoako, son of Bishop Salifu Amoako, veteran gospel artist Abena Serwaa Ophelia has shared her heartfelt reflections on the devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two young girls.
The incident, which has left the nation reeling, has drawn significant media attention and public outrage, with calls for severe consequences for the young man.
In an emotional interview with Fiifi Praat on Kingdom FM, as monitored by MyNewsGH.com, Ophelia emphasized the importance of extending forgiveness to the grieving family. “I urge Ghanaians to show compassion and forgiveness towards Salifu Amoako and his wife during this painful time,” she expressed. Her voice quivered with emotion as she acknowledged the irreversible nature of the loss. “While the public’s anger is understandable, we must temper it with empathy.”
Reflecting on the heartbreaking details of the accident, Ophelia shared preliminary reports that indicated the harrowing reality of the young victims’ deaths. “It is tragic to learn that only the intestines of the girls were recovered. This is beyond heartbreaking,” she lamented, underscoring the profound impact of Elrod’s actions.
In her message of support to the bereaved family, Ophelia urged the grieving mother to seek solace in the scriptures. “I want to extend my deepest condolences to the family. I encourage the mother to find comfort in God’s word during this unimaginable time,” she said, emphasizing the need for healing and support in the wake of such a tragedy.
Concluding her thoughts, Ophelia reiterated the importance of focusing on the family left in mourning. “Now that the tragedy has occurred, we must shift our focus towards supporting the bereaved family. They need our love and prayers more than ever,” she stated.
