145 people successfully undergo free eye surgical procedures funded by Horma’s Hope For Women Foundation
Out of two hundred and seventeen people who were booked to undergo free cataract surgical operation as well as treatment, one hundred and forty-five have successfully undergone a surgical procedure on Saturday 26th November 2020 at the Cape Coast Hospital.

Sixty-five people out of the 145 we are told had both eyes operated on.
This precedes an initial 6-day free eye screening exercise organized by Horma’s Hope For Women Foundation in all the eighteen communities in the Essikadu-Ketan constituency in the Western Region.
Horma’s Hope for Women Foundation on Thursday, December 1st 2022 once again assembled doctors and nurses from the Cape Coast Hospital at the GNAT hall in Fijai for a review session for those that were operated on last Saturday.

Founder and Leader of the Horma’s Hope for Women Foundation who is also the Deputy Director General for the National Lotteries Authority (NLA), Horma Akaisi Meizeh told our reporter that she feels fulfilled by putting smiles on the faces of people.
“Before the surgery, last Saturday some of the could not see at all but at the end of the surgery, you can tell the expression of joy all over them because they can see again. For me, it fulfilling and gives me so much hope”, she said.
Madam Horma also indicated that there will be another review section in January for those that went through the surgical procedure and the Horma’s Hope for Women Foundation is paying for all of that.

Skyypowerfm.com learns plans are far advanced for the next group of people numbering about 72 people to undergo free cataract surgical operation as well as treatment at the cape coast hospital to wrap up the activities of the Horma’s Hope for Women Foundation for the year 2022.
Meanwhile, some beneficiaries of the free cataract surgical operation and treatment funded by Horma Meizeh could not hide their joy but were full of praise and appreciation to the foundation for coming to their rescue at such a time.
