Ahanta West MP shares emotional speech at thanksgiving service after a year of illness – Skyy Power FM

The whole congregation of the Wesley Methodist Church in Agona Nkwanta was in tears when the Ahanta West MP gave an emotional speech at his thanksgiving service on Sunday, January 8.

Honourable Ebenezer Kojo Kum, who also doubles as the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has been bedridden for almost a year after suffering a stroke.
According to him, he has suffered greatly and almost lost his life to the disease, however, if he is alive today, it is necessary to thank his God for sparring his life and seeing a new year.
Hon Kum shed tears whiles giving his speech and gave his final thanks to the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo for his trust in him and continuous support.

At the thanksgiving service, Hon Kojo Kum was surrounded by his family. The service was honoured by executive members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Western Region, some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), some Western Regional Chiefs and Queen Mothers and members from the Ghana Bar Association in the Western Region.
Awulae Angama Tua-Gyan, Omanhene of Bamiako, presented a citation to the Ahanta West MP saying:

“This citation is presented to you, Honourable Ebenezer Kojo Kum for your instrumentality and fatherly advice in bringing the Ministry to this level.
“You have demonstrated the act of leadership by living an exemplary life on the journey of success at your tenure of office as the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs is beyond imagination.”
“You have become of remedy to challenging situations and you have demonstrated enough spirit of togetherness.”
“The Nananom, staff of the Western Region House of Chiefs will forever remember your legacy and the great work you have done.”
