Bring your father back to life – J. J Rawlings’ children told

The Catholic Archbishop of Cape Coast and Vice President of Ghana Catholic Bishop Conference (GCBC), Most Rev Charles Gabriel Palmer Buckle has urged the children of the late former President of Ghana, Flt ltd Jerry John Rawlings to bring back their father to life by emulating the best of examples.
According to him, no one else could live up to his legacies and virtues better than them, his very own children.
He also called on them to take good care of their mother and widow of the late J. J. Rawlings, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings in his absence adding their father let her in their care.
“My dear Zenator, my dear Yaa Asantewa, my dear Amina , my dear, Kimathy, take good care of your mother, your father has left her in your care but now is the time to bring your father back to life by walking in the best of his shoes, you only can best do this by nurturing the virtues and values of papa J,” he said.
The Archbishop made the call in a sermon at a requiem mass held in honour of the late former President, Jerry John Rawlings at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra on Sunday, January 24 and monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
Archbishop, Palmer Buckle encouraged them to emulate their fathers virtues in areas including their service to God, the country and humanity.
He also prayed the four children born to the late former President would not only walk in his shoes but also teach their children and generations after them, the principles of probity, transparency and accountability he stood for.
“May probity, transparency and accountability be your watch word and mantra also, may your dear father continue to live on in you and in your lives of virtues especially in your lives of service to God and Ghana and humanity may you hand down his virtues and values to your children and posterity,” he prayed .
