Connect FM pays respects to late Nana Akwasi Mensah
The management of Takoradi based Connect 97.9FM, a subsidiary of Media Generale is commiserating with Skyy Power 93.5FM after the loss of sports broadcaster Nana Akwasi Mensah.
Nana Akwasi Mensah whose sudden death occurred on Sunday, May 1, was the host of Skyy Power FM’s sports program, the Skyy Sports Show and his demise was shocking to the media and sports fraternity in the region and Ghana at large.

The management of Connect FM paid their respects by signing the Book of Condolence of the deceased and also met the management of Skyy Media Group.
The General Manager of Connect FM, Mr Nana Osei Asare speaking to Skyy News indicated he and his staff were shocked to learn about the sudden demise of the broadcaster as they knew him to be a very calm and knowledgable person.

In this case, they find it necessary to pay their respects to him.
He said, “A few times I have met with him, I saw great potential in him, I remember the last we were doing a sports review which he came to our studios and realised how knowledgable he was in his field.”
“He is a humble soul and a gentleman and it’s unfortunate he has to leave young”
“As tradition demands, we need to come and mourn with Skyy Power and also tell them that..we know it’s very painful but God in its own infinite wisdom knows what happens in each particular time.
