#FixTheCountry campaigners goes to sleep, campaign missing in twitter trends

Popular Ghanaian social media trend and campaign, #FixTheCountry, a campaign by Ghanaian youth to demand accountability and a paradigm shift in the country’s governance structure has been conspicuously missing in twitter trends since Saturday, May 22.
The campaign which was usually heated and at it peak during the weekends was missing on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
#FixTheCountry, having top global trends for weeks, the campaign out of 20 trends counted by GhanaPlus.com on Sunday from morning to evening, was no where to be found, it opposing trend, #FixYourSelf, however, trend for a short while on number five (5) on Sunday but was also missing in the first 20 trends as at the time this article was being published.
However, a few tweets from Ghanaian actress and TV host, Efia Odo on the campaign was spotted.
Convener of the campaign had earlier indicated they would not halt the campaign until every challenge in the country was fixed by the government.

#FixTheCountry campaign begun nearly a month ago following a tweet by some enthusiastic and angry youth calling on the government to fix the challenges in the country.
Mainly social media centered, the campaigners have argued high cost of living, abandoned government projects, the country’s debt stock, lack of basic social amenities, indiscipline, lack jobs for the teaming youth, destruction of lands and water bodies through illegal mining among others and called on the government to fix them to make Ghana a better place worthy of living.
Despite stiff opposition from government officials, the campaign managed to get various government top officials including the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Finance Minister, Mr Ken Ofori Atta and many others to respond to their concerns in press conferences.
Notable names including, renowned broadcaster, Kwesi Sintim-Misa, Lawyer and member of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Gabby Otchere Darko, Energy Expert, Mr Kwamina Jauntua,renowned broadcaster, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, celebrities including Sarkodie, Yvonne Nelson, Efia Odo and many others have all join in the conversation.
Members of the opposition party are also solidly thrown their support behind the campaigners demanding the government to fix the country.
