GNAPS donate to Catholic Special Vocational School in Fijai – Skyy Power FM
As part of this year’s Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS) week celebration, a donation has been made to the Catholic Special Vocational School at Fijai.
Presenting the items to the school, Mr Charles Mintaba, the Zonal Chairman of the Ghana National Association Of Private Schools(GNAPS) said the reason for celebrating this year’s GNAPS week with the Catholic Special Vocational School is that, the students there have special needs which require special skills for them to be handled.

He also explained that the students are blessed with a good number of vocational skills which need to be appreciated and supported by all after witnessing their zeal.
According to Mr Mintaba, even though many people are not aware of the existence of the Catholic Special Vocational School, he, however, used the opportunity to appeal to other benevolent individuals to come to their aid because of the numerous challenges they face.
Expressing gratitude for the kind gesture by GNAPS, the headmistress and Tufuhene for Lower Dixcove Traditional Area, Madam Rose Magaret Kwofie, thanked GNAPS for the August visit and the items they brought. She made a call on the general public to support them with materials they can use for pillow making, leather works and sewing. She also talked about the school’s lack of facilities like staff bungalows, dining halls and a proper kitchen.

A clergyman from St. Francis of Assisi Rev. Father Emmanuel Kofi Ocran, also entreated everyone to make it a habit to give for the act of giving brings blessings. He urged all not to wait till the time they have everything but out of the small they have, they should extend a helping hand to the less privileged in society.
Among the items donated were bags of rice and sugar, soft drinks, cooking oil, toiletries and other items of great importance.
