
A retired Colonel of Ghana Army J.A Okai is reiterating the need for Countries within the West African Sub Region to heighten security collaboration to fight threats of terrorism.

According to him, collaboration among security services in the West African Sub Region is the surest way to defeat terrorism activities.
He explains that they ought to be palpable collaboration among the nations of the sub-region in the areas of intelligence sharing, training assistance and if possible supporting affected nations with some equipment.
Colonel J.A Okai made the call at the 78th Myohaung anniversary celebration which was held at 2BN Takoradi in commemoration of the battle of Myohaung on the 23rd of January 1945.
He said, “In this era of visible terrorist threat in some parts of the West African sub-region, there ought to be a probable collaboration among the nations of the sub-region in the areas of intelligence sharing, offering of assistance to affected nations and if possible supporting the affected nations with equipment.”
“This will go a long way in presenting a united front against the menace and boosting the morale and efforts of the affected nations.”
