Joe Ghartey reaffirms decision to contest for presidency – Skyy Power FM



The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Essikado-Ketan Constituency, Lawyer Joe Ghartey has reaffirmed his decision to contest for the presidency in the 2024 elections.

Lawyer Joe Ghartey has a huge portfolio and has attained a high reputation in the field of politics and believes he is the man for the job.
Speaking to Skyy News on the sidelines of the thanksgiving service of the Ahanta West MP, the former Attorney General and 2nd Deputy Speaker of Parliament said he has the experience and capacity to run the office of the presidency.
He said, “I am standing for the presidential flagbearer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), I have the experience, I have the capacity, the humility and the sense of service.”
“I have a huge portfolio and this is because I have delivered in all areas I was appointed as the government.”
He added that one of his biggest endorsements since he took this decision, came from the Speaker of Parliament, Mr Alban Bagbin.
He said, “Since he assumed office as the Speaker of Parliament, Mr Alban Bagbin told the house that he will be firm and fair and apply the rules like how Hon Joe Ghartey did.”
“This is a man who doesn’t has to say that because he does not support me or anything but this is the greatest endorsement I have received.”
