King Charles welcomes Akufo-Addo at Windsor Castle

The King of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms, King Charles III has met the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in a private meeting in England for an audience.
The meeting took place at Windsor Castle, a royal residence at Windsor in the English county of Berkshire which embodies almost a millennium of architectural history of the royal family on Tuesday, November 15.
The news of the meeting was made public by The Royal Family in a twitter post sighted by GhanaPlus.com
“This afternoon, The King welcomed the President of Ghana to Windsor Castle for an Audience,” the Royal Family’s tweet reads.

Ghana’s President’s visit bring to three, the number of African Presidents who have met the King since he took office in September following the death of his mother and Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II,
The first was the President of Gabon, Ali Bongo on October 17 at Buckingham Palace followed by the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari on October 31 at the same venue.
President Akufo-Addo in London on private visit
Nana Akufo-Addo is expected back in the country on Wednesday, 16th November, 2022.
A report from the Presidency communicating his travel two days ago said “The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, left Ghana, on Sunday, 13th November 2022, for a two-day private visit to the United Kingdom.
President Akufo-Addo will return to Ghana on Wednesday, 16th November, 2022, and, in his absence, the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, shall, in accordance with Article 60(8) of the Constitution, act in his stead”.
