The Chief Executive Officer of Dalex Finance, Mr Ken Thompson has predicted more hardships ahead of the country in the coming days.

Speaking on Face to Face on Citi TV in Accra monitored by GhanaPlus.com, he said he sees poverty, closure of business, lost of jobs, as well as hikes in prices of goods and services.

“His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa, what I can see coming is not good. If you are watching, what I can see coming is not good. I can see poverty, I can see job losses, I can see business closures, I can see prices going up, prices of electricity will go up, I can see it, ” the renowned Accountant said.

He has therefore appealed to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to make decisive decisions to restore the economy.

Ken Thompson is of the view; the president is capable of making that decision which will  bring back the economy on track

“I lived through the 70s. I saw it, and I saw my parent, when my mother came back from England. As a nurse, she bought a brand new car, Peugeot 403. I can see how eventually, she was not able to repair the car, she was involved in a crash. She was actually coming to visit me, car crash and that was the end of it”

“I remember how our carpet became thread bare, how the seat of the chair became broken, how we started wearing second hands cloths, I have seen it”.

 “I am 61, I can’t do much about what is happening but you can and am begging you that please take decisive actions, be decisive, because I believe that you are capable of and let move this country forward. Thank you sir,” Ken Thompson told the President.

Ghana is currently at a cross road financially. Desire for a comfortable life is a luxury to many of its citizens.

Harsh economic condition, rising cost of living, high cost of petroleum products and its implication on general conditions of life has brought untold hardships across the country.

Government is currently seeking support from the International Monetary Fund(IMF) to support its programmes.
