CEO of Reenart Multimedia’s address
Speaking at the awards night on Saturday, May 15, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Reenart Multimedia, organizers of AWEMA , Ms Irene Nartey said her outfit, an industry player themselves recognized the significant role wedding makers plays in making the African wedding a memorable one for the couple hence the awards scheme to celebrate their efforts.
“As a major player in the Ghanaian/African event industry, over the years we’ve come to understand how important having the perfect wedding is to couples. We also experienced the very important roles played by wedding planners towards achieving that perfect wedding memories for new couples
But execution of a perfect wedding goes way beyond just the planners. There are dozens of other professionals who contribute their quotas to the making of memorable weddings. This gave rise to the words ‘Wedding Makers’. But sadly, it dawned on us at Reenart Multimedia that these professionals who work so hard to create the perfect celebration for others are not, in turn, adequately celebrated themselves. This vacuum, therefore, gave birth to the creation of African Wedding Makers Awards (AWEMA), ” she said.
She added the award scheme was to those honour is due in the Ghanaian wedding environment and celebrates their contributions to the growing wedding industry as a whole.
Ms Nartey congratulated the awardees and thanked partners for their support in making the first edition a reality.
