Mother of Oheneba Kweku Nkrabea, one of the Rastafarian students the Accra High Court has directed the Achimota School in Accra to admit has allay fears of parents of students of the school that her son would be a bad influence of their children.
Maanaa Myers, mother of Nkrabea said if for anything, her son would rather be of good and positive influence on their lives.
She gave the assurance on TV3 NewDay on Tuesday, June 1, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
“Oheneba as you see him here, the way you see him so calm, that is how he is and so there is no way he is going to influence anybody’s child negatively, if for anything he will be a positive influence in their lives,” she said.
Rastafarian are weed smokers
Her assurance was in connection with concerns raised by a section of the Ghanaian public and some parents that the Rastafarian students, if permitted into the Achimota School might influence their children negatively since they were believed to be weed smokers .
Ms Myers debunked the assertion that all Rastafarians smoke adding she doesn’t smoke neither her husband nor son.
