Ejuramanhene, Nana Osei Hwedie II has called on the youth of Ejura to desist from creating more tension to ensure the police do their work to bring the murderers of social activist, Ibrahim Mohammed Kaaka, to book
His call for calm comes after hundreds of youth took to the streets of Ejura to protest and drum home their dissatisfaction over the murder of the #FixTheCountry campaigner, Kaaka.
In a brief address to the media and section of the youth at the Chief’s Palace at Ejura, the overlord told the angry youth that “I understand your pains, we will extend our condolences to the bereaved family and as well advise the youth to refrain from triggering another tension which will create riots and untoward situations. We will plead with you to please go to your homes and allow police to investigate the situation”.
Kaaka was pronounced dead Monday afternoon after he was rushed to the Ejura Hospital and subsequently referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital (KATH) Saturday where he later died on Monday, June 28.
Some youth have taken to social media to express their anger at the circumstances which led to the death.
Meanwhile two persons have been picked up in connection with the incident.
