The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Atta-Mills Institute, Mr Samuel Koku Anyidoho has said that the Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo must stamp his authority and bring some discipline into the party.
That he said was because per the NDC’s constitution, Mr Ofosu-Ampofo is the next in line of leadership in the absence of a flag bearer hence the need to him to act as the constitution dictate.
With the election 2020 over, the former President who was the Presidential candidate and leader of the party’s tenure automatically ends until a new flag bearer was elected.
“As things stand now, & per the constitution of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, National Chairman, is also the current Leader of the Party till a new Flagbearer emerges. Ofosu-Ampofo has the full backing of the NDC and must stamp his AUTHORITY & clamp down on gross indiscipline,” he said.
Mr Anyidoho, recently suspended by the party over alleged breach of the party’s disciplinary code made the comment on twitter on Friday, March 5, sighted by GhanaPlus.com.

Earlier on Thursday, March 4 he had said there had been too much harm done the NDC as such there was the need for immediate reforms to restore the party to its former glory.
“…There must be immediate reforms in the NDC … too much harm has been caused the party through chicanery and shenanigans. No more harassment shall be accepted. The Transformation Revolution has began and the fire cannot be stopped. Aluta Aluta Aluta continua,” he said.
