Mr Elvis Banoemuleng Botah, a former Deputy National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said Ghana needs an arrogant President.
He said Ghana needs the arrogant President who will direct his arrogance towards enemies of the country who desire to draw the country into a ditch for their personal interest at the expense of Ghanaians and the country at large.
That he said is the only way Ghana will succeed and become the better country Ghanaians aspire to have.
Mr Botah was speaking on Pan African TV’s Good Morning Africa on Thursday, September 8, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
“People say am arrogant because of how I communicate. You see when you speak the truth that is……he is arrogant; he is disrespectful. Ghana needs an “arrogant president,” one whose arrogance will be directed at the enemy, not one whose arrogance will be directed at the citizens. Whereas upon we are suppose to be citizens and not spectators, a critical variable that must be considered in the algebra,” he said.
Aisha Huang back in Ghana, re-arrested for illegal mining
Mr Botah made the comment while reacting to the return of Aisha Huang, a Chinese national and a kingpin in the Ghanaian illegal mining sector.
Aisha Huang, a 2018 deportee is back in the country, four years after his deportation.
Report said she arrived in Ghana early last year through Togo and has since been in the illegal mining business, the very business which warranted her deportation.
The galamsey queen as she is called have been re-arrested and re-arraign before an Accra Court and remanded into prison custody together with four other Chinese nationals.
She is said to have registered unto the Ghana Identification Authority‘s Ghana Card with the name Aisha En.
Elvis Botah accuse China of having a hand in Aisha Huang’s return
Speaking on the development, Mr Botah accused China of having a hand in the return of the galamsey kingpin.
He also questioned why the immigration boss is still at post adding that he would have sacked at least 12people if he was the President.
“If Aisha huang or whoever has found her way with a different passport you think the Chinese government is not aware. The Chinese government has done sophisticated technology to know that the woman is doing another passport. I believe they actually assisted her to get another passport to get back to continue what I believe is partly a national interest of China in the exploitation of our natural resources,” Mr Botah said.
“If that have happen and of all the huge sums of money we put in installing equipment at airport and other boarders and Ghana Immigration Service cannot even tells us. Forget the issues of the identity card”.
“How did he re enter this country without us knowing, without our figure texting system detecting her. And the Immigration Chief is still seated there. If I was president, am sure I would have sack not less than 12people….. When we do these things Ghana will thrive,”Mr Botah noted.
