The Member of Parliament (MP) for the South Dayi Constituency in the Volta Region Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor has said that the media is Ghana’s problem.
That he said was because issues that were of importance to the media and made headlines under the administration of the former President and leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama were no longer given any such attention under the administration of the current President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
The MP described the development as tragic adding that the media now seem to be more interested in what the opposition NDC party than what affect the citizenry and what their taxes were used for.
Mr Dafeamekpor made the comment in a tweet on Sunday, April 5, 2021 sighted my GhanaPlus.com
“The media is Ghana’s problem. Issues that made headlines under JM do not even get back page attention today. The Media are interested in happenings in the Opposition party than what our tax is being used for. Tragic!!!,” his tweet reads.

His comment comes in the wake of intermittent power outages in the country, a development which was very prominent in the media during the administration of the former President, John Dramani Mahama.
