The Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), Sulemana Braimah as said that the country would not only blame the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party in the next four years if they fail in its governance.
He noted unlike previous administration in which the failure of governance is blamed on the government only because they control parliament, Ghana’s 8th Parliament present the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) the opportunity to contribute significantly to the development of the country and also block actions which had the potential to cause the failure hence, they would equally be blamed if the country fails.
“For the next 4 yrs, governance failures cannot be blamed on Akufo-Addo and NPP alone. The NDC has what is required in Parliament to prevent or block actions that will lead to any such failures. We will blame the NDC too for any such failures”.

Ghana’s Parliament is currently split equally between the ruling New Patriotic Party(NDC) and the National Democratic Congress(NDC) with one independent member of Parliament.
