Abiana is Ghana’s Simi

Okay FM ‘s entertainment host, Halifax Addo has compared Ghanaian sensational singer, Eldah Naa Abiana Dickson known in the showbiz circles as Abiana to Nigeria’s singer, songwriter and actress, Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known by the stage name Simi.
Speaking on Best Entertainment with Halifax on Okay FM on Wednesday, September 7, monitored by GhanaPlus.com, he said “This is our own Simi. Am telling you”.
The presenter hailed the young songstress for her versatility, vocal strength and the message she carry in her music.
“When I hear such song and I meet such musicians, I become very happy it means the future is bright.This is our own Simi am telling you”
Abiana, 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music(VGMA) Best Female Vocal Performance award winner has a powerful vocal dexterity, something the Nigerian sensation has in common.
Halifax also described Abiana as a replacement for multiple award winner, Jane Awindor, popularly referred to as Efya’s as far as her vocals are concerned.
“And we have been wondering so Afia Awindor won Female vocals forever, we were wondering wouldn’t she get a replacement, so no one will come, someone has definitely come and when they come like that we have to support them. Listen to this song it can compete with any song in the world. The voice, the instrumentation, the message. Everything is on point, ” Halifax said.
Abiana drops Shika
Abiana was at the media station to promote her latest single, Shika which is translated money in the queen’s language.
The song talks about money, the daily struggle for it and the what people have lost because they do not possess the legal tender.
