He showed me his true colours

Musician Mzbel has opened up about her issues with Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Abeiku Santana, saying she had reasons for responding to his comments.

Speaking in an interview on Mothers FM, Mzbel said she does not have any personal problem with Abeiku but felt the need to defend herself.

“I don’t have any problem with Abeiku Santana,” she said. “He said something I didn’t like, and I responded to him accordingly.”

According to her, she believes people should be careful about who they associate with, especially when their reputation is involved.

“If someone shows their true colours to you or against your brand, there is no need to have anything to do with him,” Mzbel stated.

She explained that her reaction did not come from just one comment, but from several things Abeiku had said in the past.

“Before he called me a former musician, he had previously said some other things about me,” she said. “He had already spoiled my name on several occasions.”

Mzbel added that she had heard some of the comments before but chose not to respond at the time.

“I heard them, but I did not take them seriously because I didn’t hear him make those comments myself,” she explained.

She said her recent response was based on what she personally heard and felt was disrespectful.
