I regret my comments, I apologize to Shatta Wale and his fans
MC Portfolio has issued an apology to Shatta Wale and his legions of fans after making controversial comments that sparked outrage during a recent broadcast on Angel FM.
The apology came during the Fakye Showbiz segment on Fakye TV, where MC Portfolio acknowledged the disrespect his words had caused.
The drama began when MC Portfolio, in the presence of Stonebwoy, revealed that some Bhim fans had suggested he contact Shatta Wale’s mother and return a GHC 5,000 gift Wale had given him in a previous interview on Angel FM based in Kumasi.
The suggestion was made in an effort to appease Stonebwoy, who is a rival of Shatta Wale.
The situation quickly escalated when Mawuli Ekpe Peter, also known as Abro, a passionate Shatta Wale supporter, confronted MC Portfolio about his comments. The exchange turned heated, and tensions flared, nearly derailing the program.
At the time, MC Portfolio initially dismissed the concerns, but upon reflection, he realized that his words had been inappropriate and could have been interpreted as disrespectful to the SM community.
During his apology on Fakye TV, MC Portfolio said, “I deeply regret the comments I made. I understand now how they could have hurt Shatta Wale and his fans, and I sincerely apologize. My words were ill-chosen, and I recognize the importance of being mindful of the impact they have.”
