Comparing artistes breeds enmity; doesn’t make sense
Gospel Musician, Sonnie Badu believes that it does not make sense to compare artistes.
He believes that the comparison will just breed enmity.
His comments come on the back of the comparisons of the greatest gospel artistes on X the previous week.
“Stop comparing, it does not make sense. What you’re doing will just breed enmity between artistes. The Nigerians don’t do this they rather promote and help each other,” he said on Accra-based UTV.
To him, all artistes should be supported and helped to reach their pinnacle indicating that people were great in their seasons and times.
Sonnie Badu argues that it will be disrespectful to compare musicians who were great in their time to people doing well currently and believes that it will be imperative that they continue to learn under the feet of the old ones.
