I’ve decided to live a virtuous life
Actress Moyo Lawal says she is embracing a personal and professional reset following the circulation of an intimate video, describing the moment as a turning point rather than a downfall.
Reflecting on how she has coped, Lawal explained that she often hid behind humour and lighthearted roles to overlook painful realities.
“I have always had this ability to overlook things because I have always had such fun characters,” she said. “I am flipping the switch.”
The actress described the leak as the lowest point of her life but insisted it no longer defines her. “The worst has already happened to me,” she stated.
“Posting thirst traps is nothing; it is different from my reality.”
Lawal also pushed back against assumptions often made about her public image, revealing that she has always lived with restraint.
“I have always lived my life like a married woman whose husband was out,” she said, challenging the gap between perception and truth.
She announced a deliberate decision to change course, both personally and in how she presents herself going forward.
“I have decided to live a virtuous life,” Lawal declared, describing the phase ahead as one of reinvention rather than retreat.
Inviting fans to remain with her through the transition, the actress appealed for empathy instead of judgment.
“I am flipping the switch and looking forward to an entirely new character and adventure, and I hope you’ll go on this adventure with me and not judge me a bit too much,” she said.
For Lawal, the episode marks not an end, but the beginning of a different story—one she intends to write on her own terms.
