Mummy GO declares AI a ‘fallen Angel’ and a ‘demon’
Nigerian evangelist Funmilayo Adebayo, widely known as Mummy GO, has stirred fresh controversy with her latest remarks, claiming that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not just a technological advancement but a “fallen angel” and a “demonic entity.”
In a viral video, she emphatically stated, “They just call it AI to make it sound normal to you, but it’s not. It is a fallen angel; it is a demon.”
Mummy GO, known for her fiery and often unconventional sermons, has a history of making bold declarations, including claims of spending centuries in the “kingdom of darkness” before turning to Christianity.
Her latest assertion has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some dismissing it as fear-mongering, while others believe she is raising awareness about the spiritual implications of modern technology.
Mummy GO, whose real name is Evangelist Funmilayo Adebayo, is a Nigerian preacher known for her controversial sermons and dramatic claims about spirituality, the afterlife, and end-time prophecies.
She gained widespread attention on social media for her unorthodox teachings, often warning against common habits and trends, which she claims are linked to the devil.
As the founder of Rapture Proclaimer Evangelical Church of God (RPECG), Mummy GO has made headlines with statements about everything from cartoons and football to artificial intelligence and hairstyles, all of which she has linked to demonic influence.
Despite the criticism and memes that have emerged from her viral sermons, she remains a polarizing yet influential figure in Nigeria’s religious landscape, with a dedicated following that believes in her apocalyptic warnings.
