Regina’s battle with drugs tearing us apart — Ned Nwoko breaks silence on domestic violence allegations
Billionaire politician and businessman Ned Nwoko has finally broken his silence on the alleged domestic violence scandal involving his actress wife, Regina Daniels.
In a statement shared today, Nwoko denied the allegations of abuse and instead blamed Regina’s “battle with drugs and alcohol” as the root cause of their marital issues.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem.
“She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety,” Nwoko stated, adding that his insistence on rehabilitation had sparked recent chaos at their home.
The controversy erupted after reports surfaced online alleging that Regina Daniels was assaulted by Nwoko during a heated argument at their Abuja residence.
Videos and photos showing damage to property fueled public outrage, with many calling for investigations. However, Nwoko insists that the actress was the aggressor, accusing her of violent outbursts and drug-fueled behavior.
“Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs. I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence.
Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting three staff in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows, for no just cause,” he said.
According to Nwoko, the incident that made headlines began when their son, Moon, fell ill. While he took the child to the hospital, a “scene of chaos unfolded at home,” allegedly instigated by Regina and her supposed drug suppliers.
“A clear-headed Regina would have taken Moon to the hospital, but instead, she even threatened to kill our resident nurse for exposing her drug abuse. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he added.
Sources close to the family previously told Pulse Nigeria that the argument reportedly escalated after Regina allegedly destroyed property at the family mansion, prompting security intervention.
Meanwhile, her representatives have yet to issue an official response, though close friends have hinted that she may be preparing a statement to tell her side of the story.
